From Frustration to Focus — A Story That Changed How I See Loss
November 17, 2025Lesson: Sometimes, losing something teaches you how to hold everything else tighter.

I
used to laugh when I lost things—“Oh well, it’s just stuff.” But after the tenth “just stuff,” I realized something was off. I wasn’t losing things; I was numbing myself to loss.
The SLS Program helped me understand the weight of loss—that every misplaced item, every forgotten promise, carries emotional residue.
When I learned to slow down and value what I had, I also learned to mourn gently what I’d lost. Not with guilt, but with awareness.
Now, I replace frustration with reflection. Loss still happens, but it teaches me empathy, patience, and care.
